Critical Theory: Study #1, digital photograph (2013)
Critical Theory, performance details (images courtesy of Julia Rochford)
Performed at Firstdraft Depot as part of the Performance Month (Weekender), 31/08/2013.
Interrogation is becoming a cliché. This
term pervades academic discourse in the humanities. Its just like critique, but
more cold-hearted and ballsy. A really incisive (incisors: teeth, incision:
knife) piece of critical prose is best served by a post-colon subtitle
beginning with ‘interrogating’. The ubiquity of this word in academia ran
contemporaneously to its ubiquity in other forums. It is interesting to note
that discursive interrogation and ‘enhanced’ interrogation occupy a closely
aligned segment of human history.
In Critical
Theory the art critic/theorist’s passion for interrogation is turned back
on them. Audience members are invited to present original works of art for
analysis. The critic will perform this analysis under duress. Denied his
critical gaze, all testimony is coerced and admissible in this forum.

Very good performance! What about critical theory in fx? Forex trading represents a bet against or in favor of an economy. As such, traders speculate on the shape of different economies and then buy or sell a currency pair according to their analysis. If they are right and the pair moves in their direction, they'll make a profit. If not, a loss occurs. http://www.forex-broker-rating.com/instaforex - if you're interested in forex.
